Hello and welcome to Seymour Middle School! 

My name is Tanya Nechodom, and I teach 6th grade literacy and social studies.  I have a passion for reading and writing, and I enjoy sharing my love for books and good writing with my students.  My goal for my students is to grow up to be lifelong readers, learners, and happy and productive citizens.

I graduated from Lakeland College in Sheboygan with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary/Middle School Education and a minor in English.  I have also earned a Master of Science degree with an emphasis in Adolescent Literacy and Technology from Walden University.

I am a mother to two young boys, and I enjoy boating, going up north, traveling, playing and coaching volleyball, reading, and attending Brewer, Packer, and Badger games.  My husband and I enjoy watching our boys play sports too!

I have been teaching at SMS since 2007 and I love being a part of the Seymour School District family.  I am looking forward to another great year!
