PROJECT GUIDELINES AND GRADING CRITERIA
GROUP SIZE - 4 students
# of SLIDES REQUIRED - 5 including your title slide
POINTS - 15 pts for slides and 10 pts for presentation - 25 pts total
SLIDES - easy to see, key words and phrases NOT sentences, attractive slides NOT too busy OR to plain
PRESENTATION - PRACTICE and Know Who Will Say What - have good volume, eye contact, expression, and volume. EACH person needs to speak roughly equal amounts of time.
CONTENT - You have some required as well as optional questions. Make sure your information is accurate and informative. Be respectful and appropriate.
OPTIONS - EACH GROUP WILL SELECT A DIFFERENT ONE
Group #1 - Timeline and Overview
- When did the camps start and when did they end? You can pick out a few highlights from the timeline but there is way too much info in the site provided. Do NOT focus on events after the camps ended.
- How many camps were there? You can include where they were if you'd like.
Group #2 - Impact on the Children
Group #3 - Who was affected
Group #4 - Conditions and More Info on Conditions
Group #5 - WHO was put in these camps and WHY were they put there?
- Why were people put in these camps? How many people were put in these camps?
- Was there evidence against them? What was he fear that prompted the U.S. to put them in these camps?
- Some Japanese citezens were released from camps if they agreed to serve in the U.S. armed forces. How many did that?
