She began working in the field of education in 2006 and spent twelve years teaching third graders across Northeast Wisconsin. In 2019, she was honored to join the Seymour Community School District to provide intensive, small group literacy intervention to students in grades K-8. Mrs. Gauerke earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and a Master’s Degree from Cardinal Stritch University. She is dedicated to life-long learning and continuous growth. Mrs. Gauerke lives in Hortonville with her husband and three young girls. Her family can often be found playing outdoors or at their cottage in the north woods .
